Escalator replacement in the underground shaft.
Gustav Seeland GmbH recently successfully completed the dismantling and subsequent installation of the three longest escalators in Hamburg’s underground railway system.
The giants extend over a full 50 metres, but that’s not all. The new escalators, which were also transported to the site, weighed around 30 tonnes and were delivered and assembled in a total of seven parts.

For this project, Gustav Seeland GmbH received the BSK Award “Assembly of the Year 2023” last weekend and took 2nd place despite strong competition.
